Piotr "Peter" Nikolaievitch Rasputin, better known as Colossus, is a mutant superhero appearing in Marvel Comics. Born on a Siberian collective farm, he possesses the ability to transform his entire body into organic steel, granting him immense strength, durability, and resistance to injury.

Colossus is a long-standing member of the X-Men, known for his gentle nature and artistic talent despite his formidable powers. He often serves as the team's powerhouse and a moral compass, grappling with the responsibility that comes with his abilities.

In the "Marvel NOW!" era (2012-2015), Colossus's storyline takes a darker turn. After being possessed by the Juggernaut's Cyttorak power, he briefly becomes a corrupted version of himself known as Kuurth: Breaker of Stone. He eventually loses the Cyttorak power but faces lingering trauma and moral quandaries stemming from his time under its influence, adding complexity to his character.
